About Lurgan Forward

Lurgan Forward is a company limited by Guarantee served by a Board of Directors. In March 2003 Lurgan Forward joined with Craigavon Borough Council in promoting the need for a strategic approach to the future development of the Town Centre, its interface with periphery communities, and surrounding areas.

With the support of the Department for Social Development, a Draft Development Framework document was launched for public consultation in 2003. The formal launch of the Framework took place in March 2005. A new board was selected to encompass all areas of the town and outlying regions and covers all backgrounds and genders.

This plan has been prepared to assist in the overall physical and economic regeneration of Lurgan Town Centre and surrounding areas. The Framework will help to generate positive development and investment in the retail, tourism, transport and services sectors.
