For Lurgan Businesses: details of the Town Centre Business Review

Lurgan Forward has commenced a new Town Centre Business Review. The review is a necessary 'Health Check' of business and economic indicators. Lurgan Forward maintains ongoing discussions and negotiations with local and regional government. In order to ensure that our position and arguments are valid we need to maintain tangible and current indicators to substantiate the case for the town. Anecdotal evidence has little worth when for instance lobbying for public and private investment, rent or Rates relief.

The last full review was undertaken in 2005 and hence a new rolling review is being undertaken to ensure the currency of data."

The indicators being reviewed will include retail trends, employment, turnover and investment. Questionnaires will be regularly delivered and collected throughout the town centre.

The First Phase will involve confirming contact details for every business in the town.

Phase 2 will involve either online questionnaires where businesses, managers or owners have internet access. Those businesses without internet access will be provided hard copy forms for completion.

All data provided to Lurgan Forward will be held in confidence under strict and secure guidelines. Reports from the review will only be used in a summary form, and no one individual business will be able to be identified from any published data.
