Lurgan Forward has commenced a new Town Centre Business Review. The review is a necessary 'Health Check' of business and economic indicators. Noel Ferguson, Town Centre Manager explained, "Lurgan Forward maintains ongoing discussions and negotiations with local and regional government. In order to ensure that our position and arguments are valid we need to maintain tangible and current indicators to substantiate the case for the town. Anecdotal evidence has little worth when for instance lobbying for public and private investment, rent or Rates relief."
"The last full review was undertaken in 2005, however we are commencing a rolling programme that will ensure the currency of data."
The indicators being reviewed will include retail trends, employment, turnover and investment. Questionnaires will be regularly delivered and collected throughout the town centre. Details of the Review can be found on the Lurgan Forward website www.Lurgan-Forward.com
