Lurgan Couple win Dream Wedding! - 27 May 2008

Lurgan couple Sarah Keenan and fiancé Barry will be walking down the aisle this July for an all expenses paid dream wedding courtesy of Lurgan retailers. Never before has such an outstanding wedding prize been provided in Northern Ireland.
Retailers in the town pooled together to generously contribute to the prize. These included Wedding Dresses by Chantilly Lace, Honeymoon by Clubworld Travel, Flowers by Lavender Lane, Cars by John Murtagh & Sons Car Hire, Suits by McMahons Menswear, Photography by Avril MaWhinney Photography and Hairdressing by Anne Moore, highlighting Lurgan as the premier destination for wedding planning.
The prize was the result of a brand image and advertising campaign launched by Lurgan Forward in 2007 coinciding with a competition on Cool FM during Valentine’s week. With thousands of entrants from across Northern Ireland, the prize was won by a Lurgan couple!
Des Lavery, Vice Chairman of Lurgan Forward was heartily thankful to the Lurgan Retailers who contributed to the wedding prize. “Undoubtedly this is a fantastic opportunity for the happy couple and a magnificent display of generosity by the Lurgan retailers without whose help this prize could never been given.” The Lurgan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Lurgan Mail are also contributing to the day.
