Tourist Information Relocation
From Monday 4th January 2010, the Tourist Information Provision has moved from the Lurgan Forward office to Lurgan Town Hall, Union Street, Lurgan.From Monday 4th January 2010, the Tourist Information Provision has moved from the Lurgan Forward office in Castle Lane to Lurgan Town Hall, Union Street, Lurgan.
According to the Lurgan Mail (January 14, 2010) "In July 2009 Council members reviewed the location of the Information Point in order to increase visitor footfall, with a number of locations being considered including the Post Office, Lurgan Library, offices of Lurgan Forward and the town hall.
The town hall was chosen because of its visible location and historical value as a listed building, as well as the extensive opening hours of the building including Saturday and the availability and interest of staff to deal with tourism enquiries."
